Ningbo COVID-19 Outbreak

Monday, 10th January 2022

Following the news update last week RE Ningbo COVID-19 outbreak in the Beilun District, several areas had been placed into lockdown and closed until further notice including many warehousing areas.

Ningbo-Zhoushan Port has repeatedly fallen victim to China’s tough Covid restrictions over the past six months, with the latest lockdown taking place in Ningbo’s Beilun district, which borders three of the port’s container terminals.

We have been advised that the situation has now been completely controlled and as of 11:00am on Jan 08, 2022 the government has removed lockdowns placed on trucking, terminals, container gates and warehouses. Here operations can operate as normal although please do expect some delays due to backlog.

LCL cargo has been “severely affected”, as some groupage containers were stuck at warehouses until they could be gated-in.
