F.S. Mackenzie would like to congratulate Lloyd Smith on his recent promotion to the post of Managing Director.
Smith, previously a director of F.S. Mackenzie, has been with the company since 2005. He played a key role in building up its airfreight activities, headquartered at London Heathrow.
He replaces company founder and Chairman Alfred Stienen, who will now take responsibility for projects and development for the entire group – which comprises F.S. Mackenzie and FSM International - with particular emphasis on further international network growth.
Fellow director Justin Keable, who has been with F.S. Mackenzie since its launch in 1999 and who currently manages its general forwarding division, assumes new responsibility for the Basildon (Essex) headquarters, and the Liverpool and Midlands offices.
The Dover Office, which operates European overland trailer and container services, continues under the supervision of Simon Mills.
The restructured senior management team will liaise closely with Lisa Hemmings, a director of FSM International who is based in the UK, as well collaborating with the Group’s nine branches throughout Russia, the Ukraine and Germany.
Says Alfred Stienen: “FSM has continually grown over the last 14 years and has achieved an enviable reputation as a highly-respected service provider, thanks to the loyalty and commitment of the management team and all employees.
“We have a strong balance sheet and excellent credit rating, and our re-shaped management structure now better prepares us to expand our business, and capitalise on the exciting opportunities of the future.”
